President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that the Iranian government will \u201cfully and powerfully\u201d support the peaceful advancement of the country\u2019s nuclear industry, stressing that Iran\u2019s nuclear facilities will be \u201crebuilt with greater strength and purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tehran – hambastegimelli – During his visit to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Pezeshkian toured an exhibition showcasing the latest innovative achievements of Iranian nuclear scientists in healthcare, medicine, and radiopharmaceutical production. He later held a cordial meeting with senior managers of the organization.<\/p>\n

Honoring the memory of Iran\u2019s nuclear martyrs, the President described the efforts of the country\u2019s nuclear experts as a form of scientific jihad and sincere service to the nation. \u201cThe work of our dear scientists in producing radiopharmaceuticals and developing new therapeutic technologies meets essential needs of society and must continue with greater speed and power,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Highlighting Iran\u2019s prominent role in radiopharmaceutical production and the potential of this technology to generate national wealth and global market presence, Pezeshkian noted: \u201cFor our country, embracing advanced technologies and entering global competition is vital. Arrogant powers seek to prevent independent nations \u2014 including Iran \u2014 from gaining access to advanced technologies, to keep us dependent on their assembly industries, and to sell us their products at exorbitant prices.\u201d<\/p>\n

The President called for a strategic roadmap to secure Iran\u2019s share in the global radiopharmaceutical market: \u201cOur current activities are highly valuable, but we must also plan for export and professional marketing alongside domestic supply. The quality, effectiveness, and affordability of Iranian products will make them globally competitive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Addressing the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists, Pezeshkian said such hostilities reveal the concern of major powers over Iran\u2019s scientific independence. \u201cWe have repeatedly stated that building nuclear weapons is not on our agenda \u2014 and they know this \u2014 yet they use this false claim as a pretext to hinder Iran\u2019s progress. Our youth and elites have the ability to solve national challenges, link innovation to domestic needs, and ensure the country\u2019s independence from foreign industries.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pezeshkian also underscored the wide-ranging applications of nuclear technology across health, agriculture, and environmental sectors. \u201cAll the achievements we saw today serve public well-being and societal progress. Unfortunately, we have been negligent in presenting these achievements and countering hostile propaganda. An effective mechanism must be established to promote and market these products internationally.\u201d<\/p>\n

Criticizing the waste of national resources \u2014 particularly fossil fuels \u2014 the President said: \u201cWe burn millions of barrels of oil and gas daily, causing pollution while ignoring scientific capacities that could create added value. Our scientists can turn this challenge into opportunity \u2014 and this is precisely what worries our adversaries.\u201d<\/p>\n

He further called for the development of fourth-generation universities that focus on real-world problem solving and interdisciplinary innovation: \u201cOur nuclear scientists should expand their expertise into areas such as water management, agriculture, and environmental protection.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe way we choose to utilize our resources \u2014 what we produce, how we produce it, and how we distribute it \u2014 determines our nation\u2019s destiny,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt is our scientists who can guide us in making these strategic decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rejecting the narrative that equates nuclear activity with weaponization, Pezeshkian said: \u201cUnfortunately, hostile propaganda has deliberately associated the word \u2018nuclear\u2019 with the making of atomic bombs. In truth, only a minute and inhumane part of this vast field relates to weapons. The rest of the nuclear industry serves humanity \u2014 addressing fundamental needs in health, energy, and the environment. Our goal is to enhance people\u2019s welfare, not to build weapons.\u201d<\/p>\n

Concluding his remarks, President Pezeshkian reaffirmed his administration\u2019s full commitment to supporting the peaceful nuclear program: \u201cThe government will use all its capacity to advance and strengthen this vital industry. With the efforts of our scientists and precise planning, we can secure a greater share of the global market.
