Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says Israel\u2019s cowardly assassination of a senior Hezbollah commander exposes the regime\u2019s \u201cweakness\u201d in the face of the Resistance Axis.<\/p>\n

\n

Tehran – hambastegimelli – The IRGC released a statement on Monday to strongly condemn Israel\u2019s assassination of Haytham Ali Tabatabai in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital of Beirut the previous day.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Zionist regime once again committed a clear terrorist crime by targeting one of the steadfast Hezbollah commanders,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis cowardly act, which took place during a supposed ceasefire that the Israelis have often broken, is not proof of strength but shows the enemy\u2019s weakness and helplessness against the will of regional nations and the Resistance Front.\u201d<\/p>\n

The IRGC also expressed regret over the silence and inaction of international and human rights bodies in the face of Israel\u2019s genocide and acts of aggression, as well as the support that the usurping regime gets from the warmongering and terror\u2011nurturing rulers at\u00a0the White House.<\/p>\n

It further emphasized that the Resistance Axis is \u201calive and dynamic\u201d and that the blood of the martyrs will ignite the flames of hope and determination in the hearts of freedom-seeking people and the faithful resistance fighters across the region.<\/p>\n

\u201cUndoubtedly, the Resistance Front and Lebanon\u2019s Hezbollah reserve the right to avenge the blood of the brave fighters of Islam. When the time comes, a crushing response will be given to the terrorist aggressor,\u201d the elite military force added.<\/p>\n

On Sunday night, Hezbollah announced the martyrdom of Commander Tabatabai and\u00a0four other resistance fighters in\u00a0“a treacherous Israeli attack.”<\/p>\n

Tabatabai was the most senior Hezbollah commander to be killed by Israel since a November 2024 ceasefire with the resistance group.<\/p>\n

Also in its statement, the IRGC said the Muslim Ummah regards the assassination as part of Israel\u2019s \u201cpsychological warfare\u201d and \u201cdesperate attempt\u201d to conceal its internal crises and repeated battlefield losses, warning that such acts will only bring more defeat and greater global anger and hatred toward the occupying regime.<\/p>\n
